Preparation

Welcome to My Holiday Blog
Ready, Steady, Go...
Denver to Denver and San Diego to SF

It's now 36 hours to go before we fly out. This is the big holiday! We're going to be away for just over three weeks and I'm driving nearly every day!

I've planned this journey out carefully but even so
I suspect there'll be problems. I would imagine that they'll be road diversions but this time the satnav will guide us, I hope. It'll save using the maps although I've MS Roads and Trips on the laptop. We've all the documents, money, etc. The satnav is programmed up for the first leg and for the second part the itinerary is ready to go too. I'm just wondering what I've forgotten, if anything. We're taking plates and cutlery so we can buy in and use the microwave ovens.

What makes this exciting is all the places we're going to visit. If you look at the map all it really gives is the broad sweep. D
enver, Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Cody, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood are just some of the places we'll visit.

After that(!) leg we head over to San Diego and go up to SF via LA and Salinas.

Here's the list:
  • Denver
  • Dillon
  • Glenwood Springs
  • Grand Junction
  • Dinosaur National Monument
  • Vernal
  • Pinedale
  • Jackson
  • Grand Tetons
  • Yellowstone
  • Cody
  • Little Bighorn Battlefield
  • Buffalo
  • Mount Rushmore
  • Wind Cave National Park
  • Deadwood
  • Fort Laramie
  • Denver
  • San Diego
  • Los Angeles
  • Santa Barbara
  • Salinas
  • Berkley
  • San Francisco
It's going to be interesting all the way. I'll up-load some pictures as we go along and try and fill this in each day.
